It is always nice to get together with gma and my aunts and uncles, mom and dawn for Christmas dinner, exchanging of gifts, and chatting :) I was the only grand daughter that came this year :( Aunt Lorann is south for the winter so she was not at the gathering!

It sure was different this year without Uncle Harry (RIP)....Uncle Larry was sure to pick on Dawn though in his absence! Love you Uncle Harry and miss you!!!

Fun Day, June 20, 2009

So, we had some fun in the sun on June 20, 2009. Started our day with the Lewis' Petting Farm in New Era, then to Summit Park (Lake Michigan) for a picnic and so the kiddos could swim in the cold water, then back to the camp ground for swimming, dinner, and a bon fire :)

Tribute to my Uncle Harry

My Uncle Harry passed away on June 1, 2009. Uncle Harry was my mom's baby brother! Throat Cancer would be the culprit to cut his 50 years on this earth short :( He was diagnosed about 8 months ago and given up to a couple of years to live. My mom and grandma spent many hours over the 8 months with my uncle driving him back and forth to chemo and doctor appointments. He is no longer suffering and is at peace ... Jesus by his side and the rest of the family who we have lost in the past! Rest in Peace Uncle Harry! I love you!!!

POEM OF LIFE

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

Family Christmas, December 14, 2008

This is my mom's side for Family Christmas at Grandma Rosalie's home. Her brothers and sisters and their spouses were all there and only 2 grand children showed up (I was one of them).

I was blessed to be able to spend time with family that I don't get to see very often. We had a great meal and good time sharing gifts!

Merry Christmas!

My niece, Meagan's Wedding 7-26-08

My brother's oldest child, Meagan, got married to Jesse Grusnis on 7-26-08 in Comstock Park, MI at English Hills Terrace (which is by the White Caps baseball field).

Meagan and Jesse's wedding was just beautiful...couldn't ask for a better day for an outside wedding.

I did get to see my brother, Will, at the wedding for a brief moment. I haven't seen in for about 17 years. I wish I would have taken a picture of him but I didn't :( Meagan did ask her dad to give her away but obviously he didn't. Her step father, Mark, who has been in her life for about 16 years was the one with the honor of giving her away to Jesse. My brother will probably be kicking himself in his ass a few years down the road for not doing it! But, he made that choice.

Congratulations to Meagan and Jesse!
Love you!
