Family Christmas, December 14, 2008

This is my mom's side for Family Christmas at Grandma Rosalie's home. Her brothers and sisters and their spouses were all there and only 2 grand children showed up (I was one of them).

I was blessed to be able to spend time with family that I don't get to see very often. We had a great meal and good time sharing gifts!

Merry Christmas!

Can you see Jesus in the wood grain of this guitar??

Employees at a Ludington, MI, music store think the face of Jesus can be seen in the wood grain of one of their guitars.

The guitar is made by the Washburn Company and is constructed of a rare type of maple.

Instrumental Music and Sound employee Jeff Hoyer was the first to notice the image in the guitar's wood grain.

One customer thinks the image looks like an angel but others think it looks like the face of Jesus on the Shroud of Turin.

The guitar normally sells for around $500, but at this time the guitar with a mysterious face is not for sale.

***I went today and talked to one of the guys and he was proud to show me the guitar and said it has brought in a few new faces to the store! He said that they did not do an interview with CNN though! **

New Kitten and Scooby Doo

So, I kept hearing a kitten crying outside and couldn't find her and thought she was caught under my car...finally she came out after like 3 days of shrilling cries! I looked at her and couldn't let her stay outside when it has been so cold.

So, I brought her in. She is quite sassy to say. Her name is "Sassy Frassy" :)

Scooby takes care of her and Sassy is quite an energy kitten...she jumps on Scooby, fights, plays, sleeps with him...a little friend for Scooby to take care of :)

Halloween 2008, October 31, 2008

Halloween is my favorite holiday next to Christmas! Anyways, Mary, Trent, and I decorated her porch for the holiday (majority of the deco was mine)! I also supplied the Halloween costumes except for Trent's "Saw" mask, and Mary's makeup!

It was a fun night and we had quite a few trick or treaters!

Cruising the coast from Ludington to Traverse City, MI :)

My friend Mary, her son Trent, and a friend of Mary's--Mike, went on a color tour today from Ludington to Traverse City, MI! Beautiful colors! Beautiful water! My favorite times were at the overlook on the way, the beautiful tree colors, and the sunset :)

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Unity Christian Music Fest, 8-8-08, Muskegon, MI

While living in Muskegon, MI, for over 20 years, I never went to a Unity Fest. Yesterday, Mary, Trent and I traveled to Muskegon to go see two of their favorite bands SKILLET and TOBY MAC. They were much more excited than I was but once the bands began to play, I really did enjoy myself.

I preferred Toby Mac over Skillet but each in their own way, they were both pretty awesome. Skillet is more of a harder rock Christian band while Toby Mac was more of an upbeat with Reggae...

Awesome time with good friends!

My niece, Meagan's Wedding 7-26-08

My brother's oldest child, Meagan, got married to Jesse Grusnis on 7-26-08 in Comstock Park, MI at English Hills Terrace (which is by the White Caps baseball field).

Meagan and Jesse's wedding was just beautiful...couldn't ask for a better day for an outside wedding.

I did get to see my brother, Will, at the wedding for a brief moment. I haven't seen in for about 17 years. I wish I would have taken a picture of him but I didn't :( Meagan did ask her dad to give her away but obviously he didn't. Her step father, Mark, who has been in her life for about 16 years was the one with the honor of giving her away to Jesse. My brother will probably be kicking himself in his ass a few years down the road for not doing it! But, he made that choice.

Congratulations to Meagan and Jesse!
Love you!

Doggie 2nd Bday Party, Montana and Toby, 7-9-08

Scooby Doo was invited to a "doggie" birthday party for his buddy, Toby Mac, and his new doggie friend, Montana.

Scooby Doo (my dog) is a Pomeranian/Papillion mix, weighs about 7 pounds and he is about 6 years old. Toby Mac and Montana celebrated their 2nd birthday...they are brothers out of the same litter...they are just little tykes weighing in around 4 or 5 pounds each.

Scooby had a blast running around with the little boys celebrating their birthday! They had tons of trees to go potty on and they enjoyed chasing each other around the yard.

They even enjoyed birthday cake and ice cream. Yummy! At the end of the night, Scooby was crying because he didn't want to leave the party :( Once we got home, he was so exhausted that he fell fast asleep.

Enjoy the pictures (click on the album to open it up)

4th of July 2008 Parade

I went to visit some friends in Ludington, MI, to share in the Parade. It was a great time and we had awesome seats. Couldn't ask for a better seat than right on the main street! I took many pictures and shared laughs with friends.

Because I had to work 3rd shift that night, I had to get home to take a nap. Therefore, I was not able to go to a picnic that was planned.

I worked 3rd shift (blah on a holiday).

Saturday, July 5, 2008, I got home about 7:30 am from work and then slept. In the afternoon I hung out with a couple friends and then they came over to my home and we had a cook out, strawberry daquari's, and watched a movie. What a good time!
