Ho, ho, ho....Merry Christmas!!!! I walked in to Cin's home with a big bag of gifts and a Santa hat on and told her grand kids that Santa had stopped at my house for them...lol :)

What a wonderful day spent with Cin, John, Rach, Alex, Caitlin, Colten, and Logan!!! Spent time with mom too :)

Cin and I go back about 20 years (college years) and it is so great to have such a wonderful friend in my life!

Chicago Trip with Kim, December 4, 2009

Kim invited me to go on a bus trip with her and some students from Muskegon Community College. It was a one day trip and boy was it a great time!!! We had hot spiced wine, went to the Navy Pier, Water Tower Place (mall), and a couple different restaurants...even saw a fight...lol :)

Muskegon Bike Time 2009, July 2009

I went to hang out with a few friends today....I didn't get any pictures of Sharon though :( But, we did have a good time hanging out at Bike Time in the afternoon and a good lunch :)

Then, I went to visit my friends from college, John and Steve. We went to Mango's, Bike Time, back to Mango's (where we met up with Nug from college) and then to their boat.

Visit with my high school friend Kim, August 26, 2009

I went to visit Kim and meet Tami and Ashley and the dogs too of course. We went to lunch at the Harbor View Grille...we both got the same thing for lunch Pesto Chicken Ciabatta...yum! After that, we drove around to go to the White River Light Station and even went to the museum!

What a great way to spend a day....a great friend, great food, and great sights and some good laughs!!! :)

SS Badger Mini Cruise, May 22, 2009

My college friend Cindy and I decided that we wanted to "sail into summer" on opening day of the SS Badger. Tickets were only $35 for a round trip "mini cruise" for the day!

Much to our surprise, Ludington has a parade to send people off on the first voyage of the season. People also line up along the channel waving good bye and the fire station has water flowing too :)

We went from Ludington, MI to Manitowoc, WI, which is 60 miles by Lake Michigan or approx 4 hours. We had to be there at 8am to start loading. We started leaving Ludington approx. 9:10 am and it was sprinkling out with the sun soon to come :) Got to Manitowoc about 1:20pm and had about 1-1/2 hours to walk around downtown.

Upon our walk downtown, we found many things to take pictures of and even found an antique shop where Cindy was in heaven and then I ended up finding a vintage shop where I found a hat that suits me perfectly :)

Departed Manitowoc, WI, approx 3:20pm and Cin and I had the perfect seats sitting in the sun on the way back (of course we got sun burns).

SS Badger docked back in Ludington, MI, approx 7:15pm. From there, we departed our separate ways and went to our homes.

What an awesome day with a great friend!

The day started early (6am) and Corey brought me to the San Antonio Airport. From there, I went to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and then straight to Grand Rapids, MI...then, to Grant to get my car and onto my apt. What a long day of travel!!!

Jim's Restaurant & Freddy's Frozen Custard, 4-6-09

Jim's Restaurant is comparable to a Russ' Restaurant...we both had Mushroom/Swiss Burgers and fries and I had a slice of strawberry pie...we went here for lunch.

For dinner we went to Freddy's Frozen Custard. I got a burger and a frozen strawberry custard. Decor was great and so was the food!

Poteet Strawberry Festival, 4-3-09

Corey, Anthony (Corey's son), and I went to Poteet, TX, for their annual strawberry festival. Poteet is the "Strawberry Capital of TX". It is like a fair with booths to buy things, rides, food, alcoholic beverages, bands, and of course strawberry desserts :)

Riverwalk/Tower of the Americas/Alamo/Various Pics, San Antonio, TX, 3-28-09

We went to the Riverwalk during the day to take a little cruise around on the boat which is a 35 minute ride. Also, went to the Tower of the Americas which is the tallest building in San Antonio. It has an observation deck and a restaurant in it. The restaurant goes around so you can view the whole city. It was pretty neat. Awesome food (I had prime rib).

Visiting with Kim, March 14, 2009

Kim came to visit me today. I haven't seen her since high school..so about 20 years ago!! We chit chatted, gossiped, giggled and had a great visit. We went to Applebee's for dinner and also went to Lake Michigan to capture some pictures. It was very cold out at the pier, but it was such a beautiful, sunny day! It was great to see Kim and catch up :)
